Online Course: Islamic Illumination

Description

This eight weeks long course on the Persian tradition of Islamic illumination teaches you the elemental motif of Islamic art: the Islimi (biomorphic pattern).  You will learn the intricate art of designing complex compositions using Islimi patterns, and will paint and outline them. You will also learn to prepare paper for painting by dyeing and burnishing it.
